Thailand’s flag carrier Thai Airways International, together with other Star Alliance airlines makes Thailand an easily accessible country to visit regardless of where you are travelling from or travelling to.

SUVARNABHUMI International Airport, located 16 miles outside of Bangkok, is the main gateway to Thailand.  With more than 50 million passengers traveling through the Airport on a yearly basis, it is also a natural connecting point for passengers wishing to travel to other countries in Southeast Asia.

From the Suvarnabhumi Airport visitors can easily get to the main city area or elsewhere through the airport rail link, taxis, limousines and public buses.

Recommended mode of transportation:

Recommended mode of transportation upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi International Airport for IRC 2017 first timers is by public taxi service.  Once you have been through immigration, baggage collection, and custom formalities, please go directly to the ground level (level 1) of the airport terminal at entrance 3,4,7 and 8.  Just outside the gates, you will see taxi booking machines, sometimes with staff assistants.  This is where you can get a taxi stand number print-out.  Once you get a print-out, go directly to the waiting taxi according to the number on your print-out.  Inform or show the driver, the hotel and the address of your choice.

Taxi fare goes by meters plus 50 bahts airport surcharge and expressway fees (approximately 75 bahts).  The driver will collect it upon arrival at your destination.  Please make sure you have Thai bahts in hand.  Additional small tips of 50 bahts would be appreciated if the driver gives you good service, however, this is not compulsory.
